    I just found a video tutorial on how to first create burnt parchment in Photoshop, then take any map and place it on the paper. Very easy to understand, very basic, and a great place to start for us noobs!

    Below is an example of a map I whipped out after watching the tutorial once. I literally did this in 15 minutes (yes, I timed it), although I did have that map already on-hand (one of my old Autorealm maps). I also added a few extra touches like the wood background, the smears, & some shadows; otherwise it's all from the tutorial video.

    In the end I can't say I love the texture of the parchment preloaded with PS, but great for a quickie. Enjoy!
